Advice please, had my start outing last weekend (in my new faulty tent) and I noticed some tiny pin holes in the fly canvas, an expanse about the size of my hand with my be i/ii dozen holes in full. Thankfully it did not rain so no issues, only I am away once again this coming weekend and so I would like to attempted a repair. Do you remember a seam sealing production would do the job or merely a general purpuse waterproofer? As said the holes are only very small. Thanks. -------------

It's polyester fabric and thinking virtually it they are probably imperfections in the textile, so as you say they may well non leak, but I was just thinking worst case senario. I'll take some seam sealer with me, 'exist prepared, dib dib dib'. -------------

Distressing I've non been clear enough. The tent was sold to me with unknow faults, and so I paid my money and took my take chances. I got a new gobi four with unknown faults for xl these tents usually go for effectually 180. If the faults (when found) were unacceptable to me I could accept had a total refund. The faults were, a snapped stupor cord, 4 pocket-sized holes in the basis sheet and the small pin holes mentioned. So it has cost me less than 10 to repair. I am happy. -------------

I know this is now a problem solved, only for others reading or having the same problem. I had a canvas tent with quite big holes caused by strain on the stitching, perchance a millimeter or two in diameter. They never permit in any water as the rain tends to bead due to surface tension. The only time h2o would leak through is if a puddle formed in the area of the holes. Glad you got a bargain and solved the very minor issues. -------------
